About Bill Warren, President
Bill Warren established Benefits Design Resources in 2005 to help individuals and businesses identify and select their ideal insurance solutions. Whether itís life insurance, medical coverage, employee benefits, or specialized products like international medical insurance or disability insurance, clients know they can count on Billís expertise to find the right, cost-effective insurance solution. Clients rely upon, and trust, the experience and expertise Bill has gained from two decades working for three of the countryís largest insurance companies: Humana, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida, and the Travelerís Insurance Company.
Prior to founding BDR, Bill served as director of account management for Humana, where he supervised the large team responsible for retaining the companyís South Florida Commercial Accounts. He joined Humana after several years with Blue Cross and Blue Shield, where he managed the team responsible for meeting the group insurance needs of the most diverse Blue Corss Blue Shield clients in the state -- Florida Power & Light, Miami-Dade County and Knight Ridder Inc.
At Travelerís, Bill obtained a thorough knowledge of meeting the insurance needs for his commercial clients. When he was promoted to sales manager for South Florida and the Bahamas, in addition to his managerial responsibilities, he continued client relations with responsibility for companies including Bacardi Imports, Ryder System and Blockbuster.
Bill holds an MBA from the University of Miami and an undergraduate degree in business administration from Virginia State University. He is also a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) and holds an insurance license from the State of Florida.
